Title IX Training

Title IX is the federal civil rights law that prohibits sex discrimination in education. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance.  Examples of the types of discrimination that are covered under Title IX include sexual harassment and the failure to provide equal opportunity in athletics.   New federal regulations also require that education programs be offered on topics such as sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, and in California, the new “Yes means Yes” law.
