New location for Black History Month events

Dear FPU Community, Partners and Friends,
Regretfully, all of our Black History Month Celebration events scheduled to be at the African American Historical and Cultural Museum have been changed to another venue. The new location is New Beginnings Church located at 5089 E. McKinley, Fresno. Admission to both events is free.
 
The events are:
 

“African Americans: Central Valley Roots and Contributions” will be at 5:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 18. The main speaker will be Karla Kirk, M.A., instructor in African American studies at Fresno City College.
“The Black Church Experience: Struggle for Freedom” will be at 6:00-9:00 p.m. Monday, February 23. The main speaker will be Allen Carden, Ph.D., professor of liberal arts and history at Fresno Pacific University. Worship will be led by Bishop Charles Dickerson, senior pastor, Pearly Grove Baptist Church’ Fresno.
