University College Hour and Chirp Programs

Grace and joy to you family may the Lord richly bless you on this glorious day.

The Office of Spiritual formation and Diversity would like to invite you to experience University College hour and Chirp programs. On Monday mornings at 10 a.m. the traditional undergraduate program experiences worship at the cross . This is an acoustic expression of worship held in the beautiful Alumni Plaza. On Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. the traditional undergraduate class shares together in Chapel at the Butler Community Church here on the lovely campus in Fresno Pacific University. Chapel begins at 10:00 a.m., all are welcome to attend. On Friday students experience “ Chirp” our version of the Ted-talk community. In these public discourse discussions, iron sharpens iron and so one sunbird sharpens another.

The College hour and Chapel programs is a combined (blended and face to face online) event where students are invited into an exploration of the practice of leadership in the Christian community. The program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to witness and learn about Christ, the church, mission, evangelism, diversity, spiritual formation and leadership that is grounded in biblical, historical, ecclesiastical, and missional perspectives. The Office of Spiritual formation and Diversity introduces  the students to Christian music, the arts, public discourse and preaching while examining faith, life, cultural, social and spiritual issues in the context of the Christian faith. All who attend are guaranteed to be challenged to cultivate the sort of missional spirituality which flows from a life of Christian community engagement. Come join us, we would love to see you.
