2nd Annual Holiday Door Decorating Contest

Human Resources is proud to invite faculty and staff to “Deck the Halls” with the Christmas spirit at Fresno Pacific University. We would like to make the holiday season a little more festive and fun with a Holiday Door Decorating Contest.

Participants must adhere to the following rules:

  • Door decorating will begin anytime.
  • To be eligible to win, your door must be decorated before Wednesday, December 19.
  • Do not damage the door or surrounding walls
  • Decorations may not obstruct or prevent easy access to the office
  • Live greenery (in moderation) is permissible
  • Participants may bring items from home to use as decorations; remember this activity is all about being creative and having fun without incurring unnecessary expenses.
  • All decorations must be removed from doors by close of business on Friday, January 4, 2019.

Department Decorated doors will be evaluated on three criteria: visual impact, creativity and craftsmanship. The winner will be announced in Squawk Box. A prize will be awarded to the first-place winner which would consist of a team luncheon catered by Me-n-Ed's Pizzeria.

Participants may register for the contest through Wednesday, December 12, 2018. To register, e-mail HR at HR@fresno.edu. Registering for a team will include the name of the team/department, the names of the teammates, and the building and room number of the door they will be decorating.

Judging will take place on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Please contact HR if you wish to be a judge this year, the first 5 will be selected. Judges may not compete in the door decorating activity. One door per department will be judged.

The first place winner for 2017 was the snow man picture attached. We encourage visual impact, creativity and craftsmanship!
