SFS has been BUSY!

Student Financial Services has been busy preparing for not only the end of the 2018 fall semester and the start of the 2019 Spring semester, but also for the 2019/2020 school year!

  • Our team hosted 6 FAFSA workshops on various high school campus across the Central Valley, ensuring high school students and their families understand what the FAFSA and Financial Aid is and that they are able to add FPU to their application in the process.
  • SFS Advisors have also traveled to each of our regional campuses as well as five community colleges for the Enrollment Express events for the Degree Completion and Traditional Undergraduate programs.  We were there to be a step in the enrollment process to explain and educate new students about their Financial Aid options and familiarize them with SFS at FPU
  • The SFS Regional Campus Advisors are conducting SFS Status Checks in the evenings.  Students can meet with an SFS Advisor for a few minutes as needed on their way to class to go over their financial aid, student account, paperwork, etc.  We have heard positive feedback on offering these to our students and look forward to continuing them in the spring.
  • We have also begun awarding new incoming Traditional Undergrad students for the 2019/2020 school year, initial award packages were able to go out  before the Thanksgiving holiday and we are starting to make appointments to meet with these prospective students and families.
  • We continue to meet with our current students and assist them with their financial aid and student account questions, ensuring they have what they need to move into the spring semester
