Best Buddies/Project Search Campus Tour

Continuing Education’s Peggi Kriegbaum and Paulette Matsubara recently hosted Best Buddies/Project Search cohort #2 to a tour of the FPU main campus.

Continuing Education has partnered with Best Buddies/Project Search to provide a Career and Workplace Readiness workshop. The cohort interns work at Community Regional Medical Center to learn different skills with the goal of employment after the completion of the 10-month program.

As a testament to the success of the program, Jamie, a cohort #1 graduate, was recently hired by Pioneer to work in the FPU cafeteria!

A special shout-out to Krista Brooks & her team for treating the interns like royalty by giving them FPU T-Shirts, knapsacks and other goodies. Thank you to Daniel Brubaker for helping us treat the interns to lunch in the cafeteria. Thank you to Aaron Henderson for the FPU stickers & Tim Beauregard for letting them watch our Girls basketball team practice. It was a great FPU Community effort, and it meant the world to the cohort members!
