Congratulations to Autumn Lindberg

Congratulations to Autumn Lindberg, Director of the Seminary’s Marriage and Family program on the Visalia regional campus, who was awarded the designation of AAMFT Approved Supervisor. As the AAMFT Approved Supervisor Designation Standards and Responsibilities Handbook (2007) puts it, "Since 1942, the AAMFT has established and maintained national standards for the practice of marriage and family therapy. The AAMFT’s Approved Supervisors fulfill stringent education and training requirements. The training of MFTs and Approved Supervisors includes direct supervision by experienced clinicians, which is unique among the mental health disciplines. The standards for the field as established by the AAMFT have been adopted by most states and the federal government as the basis for licensure and reimbursement requirements" (AAMFT, 2007). This designation is an example of the Seminary faculty's ongoing dedication to provide excellent clinical training to the next generation of Marriage and Family Therapists.
