CCT Progress on Anti-Human Trafficking Project

Fresno Mayor Lee Brand and the Economic Opportunities Commission has asked FPU's Center for Community Transformation to lead a three-year Human Trafficking Data Project, which will aggregate data from every anti-human trafficking organization from Merced to Visalia delivering service to victims of trafficking, every organization doing prevention and awareness work among vulnerable populations, every organization doing street outreach to victims as well as all law enforcement agencies. The data will lead to more accurate and customized approaches, provide an evidence based foundation for shaping policy and improving service delivery and prevention. So far, more than 16 separate agencies (100% of those asked) have signed on and have helped shape the data tool. This is FPU serving to heal, in the words of Pope Francis,  a "scourge and an open wound" in our region.
