Fresno Pacific University Offers Admission Openings in Response to State Cutbacks.

While state funding limits are causing Fresno State to limit enrollment for fall 2019, we want everyone in the FPU community to know we have enrollment openings in both traditional undergraduate (TUG) and bachelor’s degree completion (DC) programs. If you know a student for whom FPU would be a good fit, please recommend our 100-plus areas of study. Many popular majors feed directly into the Valley’s neediest career fields. DC classes will be offered fully online for the first time, as well as at the Merced, North Fresno, Visalia and Bakersfield campuses.

Our distinctives include:

  • A diverse Christian university open to all.
  • A small faculty to student ratio, facilitating personal attention and relationships with faculty.
  • The most diverse student body of any Christian college in California, including a Hispanic population of over 50 percent.
  • A four-year graduation guarantee for TUG students, which underlines our status as the school with the best four-year graduation rate in the Valley. Both TUG and DC transfer students may be eligible for a two-year graduation guarantee.
  • FPU is rated number 11 among Money magazine’s 50 best colleges for transfers, as well as in the top tier of our category by U.S. News & World Report. Both U.S. News and Washington Monthly include FPU on their “Best Value” and “Best Bang for the Buck” lists.
  • Participation the NCAA Division II Pacific West Conference with 15 sports for men and women
  • Fine arts programs for musicians, artists, actors, directors, technicians, composers and much more.
  • A vibrant community of students living on campus and many ways for commuter and DC students to participate.
  • Opportunities for first-generation students, who make up 40 percent of the university’s population.

Some 98 percent of all FPU students receive financial aid from state and federal programs as well as university scholarships, as our staff works with families to make education affordable.

DC classes begin July 1. The final date to apply for TUG admission is August 15. Students can apply online at
