New Management Staff at Pioneer Catering

Pioneer wants to take a moment to announce and introduce the campus to their new food service management staff.

First, we have our new Food Service Director Juan Diaz. Juan is originally from Puerto Rico and moved to the states when he was an adult. His culinary portfolio includes going to culinary school in France, He worked in several hotels and restaurants in the Miami area, including running his own kitchen in Miami when he was only twenty-nine years old. Juan left that side of the cooking world and started working for Pioneer at Bethany Lutheran College in Minnesota, after that he went and worked at Tulane University doing mostly Catering meals. We are so very excited and fortunate to have him here at Fresno Pacific. Juan brings many new and exciting ideas for the menu and for the program.  

Alongside Juan, we have Autumn Weaver joining the team as a Service Manager. Autumn is a 2017 graduate from Fresno Pacific where she received her Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies. After graduation, Autumn went and worked at Asbury University in Wilmore Kentucky during her Manager in Training program with Pioneer. As an alum, Autumn jumped at the opportunity to come back to Fresno Pacific and join the team to help put forth a dynamite food experience here. Her main goal on campus is to work with the student workers, make sure that the meal services run smoothly, and catering events. Autumn is very excited to be back on campus and is ready to help you with any problems that you may have.
