BRS Welcomes Mike McKeever

With the transition of Greg Camp, Ph.D, to his role as associate dean, BRS has completed a search for a biblical & theological studies program faculty to help us for the next year as we make preparation for a full search. Co-chairs Melly Howard and I, along with search committee members Don Diboll and Kevin Enns-Rempel are grateful to announce that Michael McKeever, Ph.D, has agreed to serve with us this next year teaching biblical studies in both the traditional undergraduate and degree completion programs.

Mike is an accomplished New Testament Lukan scholar, adding intrigue to the interesting conversation between Melly and Greg as to which is better, Mark or Matthew. Mike comes to us from Judson University. He is the founder and director of Reel Conversations which looks at the intersection of faith, culture, and film and he's a blues musician. You can see more of his profile at the Judson link here:

Mike can say more about his reasons for taking this position and for the transition to Fresno, but we would be remiss if we didn't mention that he is the spouse of Karen McKeever, assistant to the dean for operations in the School of Education. We are happy to be part of bringing them to the same city.

Please join the biblical & religious studies division in welcoming Mike and in praying for him as he and Karen transition to Fresno in the next couple of weeks.
