FPU Emergency Notification System

Fresno Pacific University is committed to doing everything it can to keep students and employees safe while on our campuses.  One of the ways we can accomplish this is by subscribing your mobile number in our emergency notification system, ENS for short.  In the past, our ENS has been an opt in system that you could sign up for, but with the ever rising number of mass attacks across the country, we felt it was important to make this change and enroll your mobile number into our ENS up front with an opt out option. We will be uploading mobile numbers into our ENS sometime during the first week of the traditional semester (August 26 – August 30). If you have provided us with a mobile telephone number, we will be subscribing it along with your university provided email address into the ENS.  We ask that you keep your mobile number up to date in Sunbird Central.  You can do so by clicking on your name after logging in and selecting “User Profile”, scroll down to the phone numbers section to add or update your phone numbers.

Once subscribed, you should receive a text message from the system to let you know you have been subscribed.  We strongly encourage you to provide us with this information so we can keep you informed in the event of an emergency on campus.  If for some reason you do not wish to receive text emergency notifications, once subscribed, you can opt out by texting “STOP 2202457” to 23177.  If you wish to subscribe again you can do so by texting “SUBSCRIBE 2202457” to 23177.

Please also take note of the associated emergency communications policy on the FPU intranet.
