Outlook Quarantine Email Changes

Starting in mid-October, you will see some slight changes to the quarantine emails you receive from Microsoft. These are the emails that catch potentially suspicious emails attempting to get into your inbox. Here is the announcement from Microsoft:

Beginning in mid-October, end users will now be required to navigate to the Quarantine Portal within the Security and Compliance Center to take actions on suspicious mail, such as releasing a message to their inbox.

  • The only action end users will be able to execute from within the mail client will be to block the sender.
  • In order to review a suspicious email that is being held in quarantine, end users will follow a link in the spam notification email. Here is what your quarantine’s email notifications will look (the picture next to the title)
  • Alternatively, end users can navigate directly to the Quarantine portal to review their suspicious message.
