Building Peace with Religious Neighbors

Please join us this Friday, October 25, and Saturday, October 26, for two "Building Peace with Religious Neighbors" events on campus. On Friday at 10:00 a.m., join us during our College Hour program Chirp, where Reza Nekumanesh, executive director, Islamic Cultural Center, Fresno; Sukaina Hussain, outreach director, CAIR Central California; and Darren Duerksen, Ph.D., associate professor and program director of intercultural and religious studies at FPU; will have a roundtable discussion centered around the topic ‘Gen. Z and… Islamophobia.’

On Saturday at 12:00 p.m., please join us in NOH 123 for lunch and a guided dialogue with members from Clovis Community College Muslim Student Association. Please CLICK HERE to register for this event, which will include lunch, by 5:00 p.m. on thursday, October 24.

FPU student Samantha Witt will be providing primary leadership to both of these events as part of a Fellows Program with Neighborly Faith.

Please direct questions to Sam Witt at siw@students.fresno.edu or Brian Davis at Brian.Davis@fresno.edu.

We are looking forward to building relationships with our religious neighbors in our community. Thank you for your support!
