International Education Week 2019

International Education Week (IEW), November 18 - 22, 2019, is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences. This is a time where individuals and institutions are encouraged to celebrate diversity on campus. The International Programs & Services Officewill celebrate by highlighting our international students on all our social media platforms each day and hosting the following events to highlight our international students on campus.

Monday 18th: International Education Week kick-off on the green with coffee and snacks from 8am-11am to learn about this week’s events and how IPSO will be collaborating with the Thanksgiving Luncheon service project to collect basic toiletries (travel size soap, toothpaste, toothbrush etc.) for our international students in need of basic items.

Tuesday 19th: Stop by IPSO in Student Life for some muffins and learn more about IPSO!

Wednesday 20th: Cultural Awareness Night: India at 6pm in the Student Lounge. Food, Raffle, and Prizes! (see poster pictured for more details).

Thursday 21st: Meet our International Scholars and learn about their experience in the U.S at Staff Caucus at 10:30-11:30am in SCC 103.
