March is Social Work Month!

In honor of March designated nationally as Social Work Month, the FPU Social Work program is sponsoring some events on campus:

The 2nd Annual Volunteer Fair during Activity Hour today. This event is in collaboration with the Career Services Office. Faculty and staff, please let your students know they can come out and network with community agencies in the Fresno area and sign up to volunteer with these organizations! Volunteer experience is great on a resume and it is an opportunity for students who need to complete volunteer experiences for any class requirements. Please see the flyer for further details.

Northern American Christians in Social Work (NACSW) Central Valley unit is co-hosting along with our SW program, a talk by Randy White, on March 21, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., surrounding the Central Valley Human Trafficking Data Project. This free event is open to all service professionals, ministries and community citizens interested in learning and discovering ways to support the work to fight against human trafficking. Please see the Eventbrite for further details and registration.
