Preparation for Black History Month - Community Videos

In preparation for Black History Month, the Office of Spiritual Formation and Diversity would like to invite our Black staff and faculty members to record a word of encouragement to the FPU community. We would like to highlight that your leadership and presence matters, because representation matters in our multicultural body. If you are interested in partaking in this video, please email myself and Taylor Starks by clicking here. We have several options for recording either on campus or at home with your own device. Deadline to email if you are interested is Wednesday, November 18! Filming will start the week of November 23, between 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

If you cannot make it on campus for filming we invite you to record a video yourself using as best camera quality as you can, iPhone would do – if you do record via phone please record landscape mode (on its side). This is to ensure that the recording doesn’t have the black border like it does when the camera is upright. Once you are happy with the video I recommend it saving it to the cloud and sending a sharable link. Our goal for all videos to be no longer than two minutes long.

Video Content: We ask those who are interested to answer the question: What does Black History Month mean to you, and what piece of encouragement do you give to our black students here in our community?
