Facilities Announcement: Disinfecting and Supplies

The Facilities Office is cleaning all common and high-traffic areas based upon the CDC and FPU COVID-19 guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy environment for students and staff members. Facilities will be cleaning common area door handles, handrails, public restrooms and other hard surfaces. Hand sanitizer dispensers have been stationed at key entry points of high-traffic buildings.

We are all in this together and need to work together to maintain a clean environment. Building occupants should also wipe down commonly used surfaces before and after use with the cleaner provided to you by the Facilities Office. This includes any shared-space locations or equipment (copy machines, computers, tables, counters, light switches, door handles). Personal offices and desks are the responsibility of the occupant to clean and disinfect.


Supplies for Each Department:

The office manager or director of each department will need to ensure that the following items are requested for their areas from the Facilities Office through the work order system at workorder.fresno.edu

  • Two disinfectant spray bottles per area
  • Paper towels
  • Alcohol wipes (these are only to be used on electronics)
  • Hand sanitizer


Facilities is understaffed and undertaking a lot of projects across the campus at this time so please allow ample time for completion of work orders/tasks.
