MBA Students Travel Internationally - Virtually

With the COVID-19 pandemic impacting travel around the globe, the required international travel for MBA students was impacted during summer 2020 and summer 2021. To adjust for this while still providing an opportunity for interactions with international executives paired with a cultural experience, MBA Program Director, Michelle Bradford, Psy.D., worked closely with the School of Business travel partner, WorldStrides. The result became a week-long virtual international travel experience for our MBA students.

During the week of April 5, MBA students visited Peru, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain and Morocco. Each day included an executive session with high-ranking influential business professionals as well as a cultural experience ranging from tours of the town, to an appreciation event at a local tea house and to Flamenco lessons. During their executive sessions, the MBA students met and worked with the CEO of La Naranja Media in Peru; the Head of Strategy for Maybank in Malaysia; the Senior Technical Manager and the Managing Director of 3M Singapore; the Co-Founder & CEO of Photoslurp in Spain; and the Founding President of Amal Association in Morocco.

Prior to departing on their “trip around the globe”, MBA students received a care package with snacks and trinkets from the countries they visited.  A very special thank you to Michelle Bradford and travel partner, WorldStrides, for their innovative approach and commitment to student success.
