Reminder: Squawk Box Policy

Squawk Box is a publication of University Communications and Marketing. This newsletter was created to eliminate numerous individual cross-campus emails, but more importantly to create a 'one-stop shop' for news and announcements to share with our FPU community. The Squawk Box welcomes submissions on professional achievements, and personal announcements. Classifieds and personal notes should relate to people and activities with a direct connection to FPU. Items for sale, for example, must be the property of faculty or staff. Fundraisers must be for the benefit of the university or one of its departments, programs or student organizations. Sales through franchises or continuing businesses—such as Mary Kay, Avon, etc.—are prohibited in Squawk Box.
General information submissions will run for one week (two publications). Submissions promoting events will be run the two weeks (four publications) before the start day of the event. Classified ads will run for two weeks (four publications).  During our academic school year, Squawk Box is sent out twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you would like to submit for inclusion in Squawk Box, please email your submission to We ask that you get your entries in by 10:00 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays to be included in the same-day publication. Also, with the recent facelift that Squawk Box received, we can include photos!
