Silas Langley will speak on "Christian Perspectives on Death" at the Senior Professionals seminar on Tuesday, March 4 (2:30-4:30 p.m. in SCC 103). FPU faculty, administration and staff are invited to attend.
Langley is an adjunct faculty member at Fresno Pacific in history and philosophy. He graduated from Fresno Pacific in 1993 with a major in Intellectual History. He then pursued a master’s degree in theological studies at Duke Divinity School and a doctorate at Fordham University (New York City) in philosophy. He wrote his doctoral dissertation on Thomas Aquinas on human life after death.
Langley is currently working on a book-length manuscript that explores five Christian views on death and resurrection and their implications for our present lives. In this session he will explain these five views and why they matter.
