The Merced Sun-Star published an article March 26 on a Victim Offender Reconciliation Program starting in Merced that is staffed by FPU alumnus Ben Weems. The story appeared on The Fresno Bee website. fresnobee.com/2014/03/26/3845126/new-program-looks-to-reconcile.html ValleyPBS posted a report on its website March 27 about a concert featuring the FPU Women’s Chorale and Men’s Chorus with the Bach Children’s Youth Choir at University Presbyterian Church. In lieu of paid admission, attendees brought food donations for North Fresno MB Church’s food pantry. The March 23 concert was titled “Raising Our Voices to Feed Fresno.”  FPU is mentioned in an opinion piece on Cal Grants and private colleges written by Judith Maxwell Greig, Ph.D., president of Notre Dame de Namur University, and published March 25 in the San Jose Mercury News.  New this week on the FPU news website are items on the 2014 Networking Luncheon hosted by the Career Services Center, an internship for M.Div. student Yoshido Fujii, an award for MBA student Michael Conner and a presentation by Darin Lenz, Ph.D., associate professor of history.
